Based on the best-seller The Princess and the Kiss, Jennie speaks on her favorite subject: purity. Declaring the precious nature of the “kiss” and why relationships should be treasures, not toys, Jennie offers hope for those who have given their “kisses” away as well as encouraging those who are actively waiting. Jennie often shares The Princess in full or in part as she speaks as called for by the event. Versions of this talk are appropriate for mother/daughter events, parents’ groups, or young children.

Using images from The Squire and the Scroll, Jennie explains how we can guard our hearts simply by managing the spiritual side of our five senses. How can we recapture and protect “The Lantern of Purest Light” in our own lives or in our nation? Versions of this talk are appropriate for parents, father/son events, and political/national events as Jennie calls us to a deeper commitment to the integrity that makes our nation great.

a Lasting Friendships and Lasting Love
The story of The Garden Wall is based on the well-known biblical chapter of 1 Corinthians 13. A young man and woman work together to build a garden, and portray kindness, patience and love in the process. Jennie points out how the qualities of this popular passage are lived out as we form lasting friendships that may or may not lead to marriage. Versions of this talk are appropriate for parent/child events, couples and pre-teens/teens.

a What Makes a Family “Christian”?
Jesus Must Be Really Special was written to show the ten unique qualities of a Christian family. Jennie reminds parents of these practices that make our families places where our faith is lived out and life-changing, a legacy passed on to our children and their families to come. Appropriate for parents.

a Merry, Grateful Giving
Especially appropriate for the holidays, this talk draws from The Three Gifts of Christmas and the spoiled little princess who discovers the joy of meaningful gifts and giving them away. Excellent for teaching children or adults how to overcome materialism and me-oriented thinking with generosity and love.

a Many Colors Make a Masterpiece
Based on the Jennie’s book The Crayon Kingdom, this talk features a discussion of differences and the beauty of true biblical diversity. Listeners discover together how to see differences as opportunities to learn, grow, and share faith. Versions for children may include interactive coloring. 

a The Birth of a Book 
Perfect for school or library settings, Jennie uses original drafts, drawings and storyboards from The Crayon Kingdom to show how a book is published. She also makes plenty of time for questions from young aspiring authors.

a Speaking of Stories b

Jennie connects most of her talks with one or more of her children’s stories. Presentations are 45 minutes to an hour in general, and may include full readings of  books if appropriate. Depending upon the occasion, projection of art or video may be included, along with articles, statistics, and visual aids.
